Groundbreaker is the central program of Black Girls can Heal. At risk middle school female students and their mentors will participate in a structured program of support. The program will last for the duration of the school year, ending with the Mentor graduating from the program
Path finders focuses on students who are chronically suspended from middle and high schools. The goal is reengage the youth's commitment to learning and being successful within the classroom.
Rise engages Female youth involved in the juvenile court system. The mentoring relationship is utilized to establish a pattern of change in the youth's life. The mentor encourages goal-setting, self discipline, and skill development that improves the young person's sense of hopefulness.
Lunch Friends works with children from local elementary schools. This program works best for students who are often seen sitting alone or are isolated during the lunch period. This program last for the duration of the school year.
Breaking the Cycle is a workshop that supports women (18+) in shifting their generational narratives of dysfunction. Support groups will begin December 7th, 2020. The next Support group date will be announced in January .
Professional Development is a year-round program designed to help women of color reach their Professional goals. We assist with Resume/ CV writing and will assist with matching you to jobs where you'd be a perfect candidate.
